Teachers, librarians, and parents! Do you know a kid who likes trains? Is your class studying trains as part of a transportation unit? The National Museum of American History in Washington, D.C. developed several activity guides for Jingle the Brass (Farrar, Straus & Giroux) as part of their OurStory: American History Stories and Activities You Can Do Together series. Activity guides include:
- Jingle the Brass Reading Guide
- Sing, Play, and Cook Railroad-Style (my personal favorite)
- John Bull Riding the Rails
- Trains Near You
Many thanks to the Smithsonian!
