The urge to be read to never leaves us. I visited a 7th-8th grade class at the Alhambra Education Foundation’s Author Festival, and here’s what they had to say:
“Your books, Jingle the Brass and Nugget on the Flight Deck, were very interesting with all the fighter pilot and train conductor slang language. Wouldn’t it be neat if the school’s allowed fighter pilot and train conductor slang?” –Caleb
“You coming to our school has brighten my interpentation of writing. By seeing how famous you were I was excited to see how a writer’s life is a process, but it can also be fun.” –[illegible]
“You have given me the motivation that no one has ever given to me for writing.” –Justin
“You made me realise that writing is not that boring after all. I think the most impressive part of your presentation was when you pulled out the scroll of rejection letters. It made me realise that writing is fun, but also hard.” –Evan
